Delete your account

And what happens to your data when you do

Deleting is permanent. Your profile, photos, matches and messages cannot be restored afterwards. If you only want a break, you can sign out or turn off discovery instead — ask us at support@nextdate.in and we'll walk you through it.

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open NextDate and sign in.
  2. Tap Profile in the bottom navigation.
  3. Tap the Settings icon in the top right.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  5. Confirm. You'll be signed out immediately and the account is removed.

If you can't access the app

Email privacy@nextdate.in from the email address on the account, with the subject line "Delete my account". Include your NextDate ID or registered phone number so we can identify the account. We verify ownership before deleting anything, and complete the request within 7 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile, name, date of birth, gender, bio, interests and NextDate ID
  • All of your photos
  • All of your matches and the conversations in them
  • Your swipe history, filters and discovery preferences
  • Your device identifiers and push notification tokens
  • Your location data

What we may keep, and why

  • Transaction records — kept where tax and accounting law requires it. These contain no profile content.
  • Safety records — if your account was banned for harassment, fraud or an underage violation, we keep a minimal record so the same person cannot immediately sign up again.
  • Backups — residual copies are purged on our ordinary backup cycle, normally within 30 days of deletion.
  • Reports filed against you by other users — retained as part of their safety record.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your NextDate account does not cancel a subscription billed by Google Play or the App Store. Cancel it there before you delete, or you may continue to be charged:

  • Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → NextDate → Cancel
  • iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → NextDate → Cancel

Request a copy of your data

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you before you delete. Email privacy@nextdate.in from your registered address and we'll send it in a portable format within 30 days.
