Terms of Service

Effective 12 September 2026 · Please read these before using NextDate

1. Accepting these terms

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and NextDate. By creating an account or using the app or this website, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use NextDate.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old. There are no exceptions.
  • You must be legally able to enter into a contract, and not barred from using the service under any applicable law.
  • You must never have been convicted of a felony, a sex offence, or a violent crime, and must not be on any sex offender register.
  • You may hold only one account.

3. Your account

You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. The information you give us must be accurate — particularly your age and your photos. Impersonating another person is a violation of these terms and will result in removal.

4. Rules of conduct

NextDate only works if people behave decently. You agree that you will not:

  • Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate or abuse anyone.
  • Send sexually explicit content to someone who has not asked for it, or share intimate images of anyone without their consent.
  • Use the app for prostitution, escort services, trafficking, or any other illegal activity.
  • Solicit money, gifts, cryptocurrency or investments from other users, or run any scam, romance fraud or "pig butchering" scheme.
  • Post another person's photos, contact details or private information.
  • Post hate speech, or content that attacks people on the basis of religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar grounds.
  • Advertise, spam, or promote a business or another platform.
  • Create fake profiles, use bots, scrape the service, or attempt to circumvent limits, bans, verification or security.
  • Use anything you find on NextDate — including other people's photos and messages — outside the app.

Report anyone breaking these rules using the report button in the app, or email safety@nextdate.in.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you post. By posting it, you grant NextDate a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content for the purpose of operating the service — showing your profile to other users, delivering your messages, backing up data and moderating content. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in backups for the period described in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to post everything you post, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

We may remove content or automatically decline to publish it where it breaches these terms. Profile text passes through an automated safety check before it is published.

6. How matching works

NextDate uses a swipe-first model: swiping right on a profile can open a conversation without waiting for a mutual swipe. The person receiving it is under no obligation to reply, and can unmatch, block or report at any time. Matches that receive no reply expire automatically within 24 to 48 hours.

Free accounts have daily limits on swipes and on the number of profile photos. Women receive all premium features at no cost. We may change limits, features and pricing, and will tell you in advance of changes that affect a paid subscription.

7. Subscriptions and purchases

  • Subscriptions are billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, under their terms and with their payment methods.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel in your Google Play or App Store account settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by the app store under its refund policy. Where the law gives you a statutory right to cancel or refund, that right applies regardless of this section.
  • Referral rewards, promotional premium days and other free benefits have no cash value and may be withdrawn if abused.
  • Rewarded ads may be offered in exchange for additional daily swipes. Watching them is always optional.

8. Safety and your responsibility

NextDate introduces people; it does not vet them. We do not conduct criminal background checks on users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other people, online and in person.

Take the usual precautions: meet in a public place, tell a friend where you are going, arrange your own transport, and never send money to someone you have met online. Read our safety guide before your first date.

9. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate an account, with or without notice, if it breaches these terms, endangers other users, or is used fraudulently. We may refuse to allow a terminated user to create a new account.

10. Intellectual property

The NextDate name, logo, app, website, design and software belong to NextDate and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or create derivative works from any part of the service.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

NextDate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any user is who they claim to be.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NextDate is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your interactions with other users. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is greater. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use NextDate after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra, India, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
